Adeleke triumphs again as YPP withdraws suit from Tribunal

IT HAS been a continuous streak of triumph for Senator Ademola Adeleke as he continues to win after-election cases.

Friday he won the case instituted by the APM in an Abuja Court and document made available to The Telescope Nigeria shows that the Young Progressives Party, YPP, has withdrawn the case it filed seeking for a fresh election.

YPP had observed that two different electoral acts were used to conduct the Osun Gubernatorial Election that was rounded off with voting on July 16, 2022.

In a Notice of Discontinuance sighted by The Telescope Nigeria, YPP is informing the Tribunal of its discontinuation of the case it earlier instituted.

Titled, “Notice of Discontinuance”, it states that “The Petitioner hereby wholly discontinues this Petition against the Respondents”. It was dated 19th day of August, 2022 and it is to be served on the first respondent, Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC; second respondent, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and the third respondents, Adeleke Ademola Jackson Nurudeen respectively.

This now leaves the Tribunal with only the case instituted by Alhaji Adegboyega Isiaka Oyetola and the All Progressives Congress, APC.
