AMAKSON FOOTBALL Club has been in the forefront of developing youths through sports. according to its Chairman, Mr. Emmanuel Bishop Amakiri.
He made this statement at a chat in Abuja during the weekend.
He states that “Our key objective is discovery of potential talents in soccer, management of soccer players and other sports”.
Amakiri is a prominent youth leader, an activist and philanthropist; President/Founder Nigerian Youth Movement for Peace Empowerment and Transformation (NYMPET), an NGO saddled with a mandate to preach the gospel of peaceful co-existence amongst the diverse ethnic groups in Nigeria. Founder/CEO Amakson Soccer Academy and an advocate for youth development and empowerment he is also the Founder/National Chairman of Young Progressives Party (YPP).
Amakiri, a tennis buff who also plays soccer said his aim is to have an egalitarian society where youths will take their pride of place.
He believes with sports, he can turn the fortune of many around and take them away from drugs and other societal vices.
Most of his wards are currently playing professional football overseas.
Amakson football club is one of the clubs to look out for in the coming season as they are going to sign up talented boys.
One of the key things is motivational talks Amakiri gives to the lads at Amakson Academy since 2017. One of his favourites message is: “Take 100% responsibility for your life.
“You must take personal responsibility. You cannot change the circumstances, the seasons, or the wind, but you can change yourself”.
