– as the primate visits Rivers state

THIS WEEK the Christian community within and outside the oil reach treasure base of the nation, Port Harcourt, Rivers State will converge in the ancient kingdom of Evo to play host to the Primate of the Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion, Rt Rev. Nicolas Okoh and his entourage to dedicate the new cathedral after ten years of inauguration.
The entire cathedral and its environment are already wearing a new look, and arrangement in top gear.
Speaking to our correspondent, the Vice Chairman of the Planning Committee, Sir Chief Mike Ejims Onwukwe said “the theme of the anniversary is the Lord our help and strength”, will begin on Monday the July 8–10, 2019 with a crusade, music concert on 11th, while the anniversary lecture will be on Friday the 12 July, and will be chaired by former Minister of Information, Prof. Jerry Gana, the guest lecturer will be Bishop Dr. Fagbemi of Owo diocese .
While same Friday evening the dinner and award night and will be chaired by former Chief Judge of Rivers State, Hon. Justice Iche N Ndu rtd, while Saturday will be the proper dedication which would be conducted by the Primate himself and on Sunday, there would be an anniversary Thanksgiving Service.
Sir Mike said “The Diocese which was created in 2009 started with less than ten churches and has grown to Fourty-three churches”, on Monday the 15th of July the Lord Bishop of Evo, Rt. Rev Innocent C Ordu will be touring and commissioning projects within the Diocese, including foundation laying ceremony for new churches.
