THE RIFT between the Leader of All Progressives Congress in Rivers State and Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon Chibuike Rotimi Ameachi and Senator Magnus Abe may be far from being settled as Amaechi has blasted Magnus Abe, saying that the senator was being sponsored to destabilize the party in the state.
Amaechi who was speaking at a rally of the party in Port Harcourt, doubted if Abe was still a member of APC following his activities.
Amaechi who warned Senator Abe to stop calling him his leader, also disclaimed Abe’s comment insinuating that he (Amaechi) is his leader; just as Amaechi said that Abe is not his follower because he (Abe) has since left him and destroyed the political family they once enjoyed.
Chibuike Amaechi who was the Director General of Buhari Campaigning Organization, had earlier over the weekend said that the President did not endorse Magnus Abe or any other governorship aspirant in Rivers State.
He said Buhari will only campaign for a candidate who emerges through democratic means in the forthcoming primary of APC.
He accused Magnus Abe of being hypocritical. “A man who wakes up, create an imaginary parallel party executive and went ahead to open an office for the non-existent parallel executive, that has no base and foundation, cannot be said to be committed, in anyway, to the party. As a matter of fact, his actions are obviously targeted at weakening and destroying the party.
“Such a hypocritical, devious character cannot be my follower. I am not his leader,”
