Bauchi swears in new LG caretakers

BAUCHI STATE Governor, Sen.Bala Mohammed has said “all necessary arrangements  have been completed for local government council election.

The councils’ election has,however,been put on hold due to Covid19 pandemic.

The Governor said this when he swore-in 4 new local government council chairmen at Government House,Sunday afternoon.

 He urged the chairmen to respect their traditional rulers and the people they have sworn to serve.

The new local government council chairmen are from  Darazo,AbbasWazirri ,Kirfi,Garba Bara,Ningi, Salisu Nasaru,and Tafawa Balewa’s Daniel Danjuma

He explained that,the replacement of Darazo,Ningi,and Kirin local governments areas is imperative due to their unwarranted behavior.While,that of Tafawa Balewa local government has been appointed as Special Adviser to the Governor on Legal Affairs.

The sacked local government caretaker committee men are,Darazo,Mal.Garau Adamu, Kiribati Bappa Barra,and Mal.NuraDan.Maishariah,of Ningi.

While commenting Covid19 ,Gov.Mohammed commended the federal government for its palliative to the state,business mogul Alh.Aliko Dagote for donating N700 million to the state,and others.

And asked the local government chairmen to ensure they utilize the money given to them to produce enough face masks,and to continue to enlighten their people on Covid19 preventive measures.

He stressed that” government is not about Bala Mohammed,or you”,but about the people we have sworn to serve.
