Alabi calls on Nigerians to show during Yuletide

The Kwara State Deputy Governor, Mr Kayode Alabi has called on Nigerians to show love especially during this festive period.
Mr Alabi made the call today while speaking at the Nite of Carol organised by the State Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, themed “Celebrating the Prince of Peace held at the premises of NTA, Ilorin.
The Deputy Governor implored Christians to show love and be their brothers’ keepers.
He charged the people to continue to leave in harmony and always pray for the administration to always do the right thing at the right time.
Mr Alabi emphasised the need for brotherly love to ensure peace and progress of the State and the Nation.
Also speaking, the State CAN Chairman, Most Reverend Paul Adegboyega Olawoore appreciated the support and encouragement of the State Government.
Reverend Olawoore who stressed the need for justice to enjoy the peace of Jesus Christ called on Christians to emulate the Prince of Peace and be true disciples of Christ.
In his exhortation, Professor Amos Idowu emphasised the importance of peace at home, the state and the nation calling on Christians to allow the Holy Spirit to direct their affairs.
Professor Idowu noted that Jesus Christ came to the world to redeem mankind charging the people to desist from evil.
The General Manager of NTA, Ilorin, Mr Waheed Popoola pledged that the station would continue to partner with relevant organisations in line with its vision.
Earlier in his address of welcome, the State CAN Secretary, Reverend Idowu Ibitoye explained that the Carol is an avenue to appreciate Jesus Christ for His numerous blessings on the people
