The Senior Special Assistant on Mobilization to Ekiti State Governor, Prince Olatunji Ogunlola gave the assurance while playing host to the Association in his office in Ado-Ekiti.
Prince Ogunlola said that Governor Kayode Fayemi placed high premium on the welfare of the Ekiti citizens, adding that government will soon begin disbursement of micro-credit loans to the people to boost their business.
He advised the Association to form themselves into cooperative societies and register with the Ministry of Industries, Trade and
Investment in Ado-Ekiti to facilitate their access to the micro-credit loan.
Prince Ogunlola explained that the loans would only be given to the cooperative societies through Micro-credit Agency to ensure adequate
recovery of the loans from beneficiaries adding that the gesture would also boost the economy of the state.
The SSA urged them to always pay their taxes promptly and obtain clearance to enable them benefit from other government assistance.
Prince Ogunlola who said that government would make efforts to provide them with storage facilities to preserve their Turkey and make their business to thrive expatiated on the efforts of the Governor Kayode Fayemi-led administration to address the unstable power supply to Ekiti State.
Earlier, the President of the Association, Mr. Tolulope Eyebiokin who said that the membership of the Association were up to 1,500
throughout the state, requested for financial assistance from the state government for his members.
He lamented that the unstable power supply in Ekiti State was adversely affecting their business and appealed to the state government to find a lasting solution to the erratic electricity supply in the state.
